Why do I need a wedding planner?
Planning a wedding can take over 100 hours. That's 6,000 minutes of your engagement you could be spending on fun things like registering for bizarre and unnecessary gifts with your fiancé! Blackfern Events will help you navigate every task so you can have a stress-free planning experience.
My venue has an on-site coordinator. Isn't that the same thing as a day-of coordinator?
99% of the time, no. The main focus of the on-site coordinator is to serve the venue, seeing to tasks like signing contracts with new clients and working with the in-house catering team. As your day-of coordinator, my main focus is YOU. I can assist you with everything from confirming arrival of vendors to tracking down the missing groomsman in time for bridal party photos!
My mom/best friend/second cousin has planned a wedding. Can't I just hire them?
Do you want your mom to see you walking down the aisle or making sure the flower girl isn't eating the rose petals? (It happens). You and your loved ones should enjoy the day and make memories together! Let me worry about the details.
Will I still be in control of my wedding?
Absolutely. My level of involvement is completely up to you, ranging from a full plan presented to you for approval or a simple vendor recommendation.
Do you receive a commission or kickback for promoting vendors?
Never! Vendor recommendations from Blackfern Events are made with consideration of your personality, budget and wedding needs.
Do you double-book wedding dates?
No. My attention is 100% yours on your wedding day!
What types of weddings do you accommodate?
Blackfern Events supports all kinds of weddings! Large or small, formal or casual, indoor or outdoor, elopements, LGBT, eco-friendly - anything that suits you!
I'm planning an Arizona wedding from out of state. Can you help?
Yes! I can refer you to venues and vendors, help you plan for guest accommodations, and assist you with any questions you may have as your date draws closer. Thanks to lovely modern technology, we can even have "face-to-face" meetings on Skype!
